Energy can now be conserved through furniture. The first table in the Zero Energy Furniture range, designed by Raphaël Ménard and Jean-Sébastien Lagrange, enables almost 60% of an office’s heating requirements and 30% of its air-conditioning needs to be economised! In other words, this furniture acts like a thermal sponge: it absorbs excess heat (above 22 degrees), acting as air-conditioning, then restores the heat after this temporary overheating, therefore playing the role of heating. Iconic danish company PP Mobler will be part of Matter of Perception exhibition at Palazzo Litta from 14 to 19 april. A selection of chairs by Hans Wegner will be on show as an astonishing craftmanship demonstration of this famous workshop. A  brand new version of the Pot chair by Nana & Jørgen Ditzel will also be relaunched during this event organised by DAMN and Mosca Partners.  The Pot Chair was designed by Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel in 1953. It submits to simple and concluded shapes and enfolds the seated person with generous upholstery. At Palazzo Litta next month during Milan Furniture FairAndrea Branzi and Michele De Lucchi present sixteen “social environments” based on the concept of misery, a subject always expressed in arts, cinema and literature but basically alien to design culture. On the occasion of D Days 2015 in Paris next june, the Roset factory will be at 68, rue Réaumur, in the 3rd district of Paris ! The Ligne Roset shop will showcase the production of the iconic Togo seat created by Michel Ducaroy in 1973. José Charro, upholsterer at Roset for 34 years, will make Togo seats live on Wednesday 3rd June, on an hourly basis from 2pm to 9pm. A Togo fireside chair will emerge from this ephemeral workshop! For the first time the public will see the exact gestures used to shape the infamous folds that give each Togo its personality.
