From 30th NovemberDidier Faustino fills the galerie Michel Rein with a remarkable installation, called We can’t go home again. Invited to enter an ambiguous world, a world strangely resembling ours and following a disaster that appears to have already taken place, we won’t go home anymore, haunted by the armour that this ‘other’ self has carved out of the carpet of his own home. We won’t go home anymore, strangely worried in front of our apartments and offices that have suddenly been made inhospitable. We can no longer cease thinking about the lives that animate our familiar environments and the fictitious boundaries that claim to separate art from our lives, the political decisions of our aesthetic models. And it is now the responsibility of Didier Faustino to haunt art galleries.

Didier Faustino, We can’t go home, from 30th November to 16th January, galerie Michel Rein, 42 rue de Turenne Paris 3rd, tel.: +33 (0)1 42 72 68 13, http://michelrein.com

Nuctale, project by Paul Coudamy in Paris. 2013. ©Benjamin Boccas

“Nuctale,” the contraction of Nuage Fractal, is a tiny 35 m2 space lit by a monumental 5m long light: a disproportional geometrical cloud that provides a unique backdrop to this studio in the Buttes-aux-Cailles. As always, Paul Coudamy produces a maximum effect with minimal space and materials. Lire la suite…

A principle adaptable to drinks, cream and from now onwards ice creams created in collaboration with Philippe Faure, the maestro of ice creams. ‘If Alice in Wonderland had liked rock this is where she would have spent her days and nights…’ summarized Mathieu Lehanneur. Electric, the new cultural platform in Paris, is already an event in itself: a 1,000 m2 penthouse in which the designer has devised a canopy of sound suspended between heaven and earth, monumental electrical braids emerging like pitch black trees.
