Merci will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Tsé & Tsé’s April Vase from 2 to 6th May during Paris D’ Days 2017. Tsé & Tsé founders Catherine Levy and Sigolène Prébois are inviting friends and Parisians to celebrate a lavish, bohemian and creative anniversary, in a style unique to the founders. Two limited editions of the vase will be revealed for the occasion (see above Edition Tséciale), surrounded by thirty or so tribute pieces by the Tsé & Tsé crew (creators, designers, musicians, writers, visual artists, etc.).

In 25 years, Tsé & Tsé has established a Parisian style now highly sought-after in Tokyo, New York and Los Angeles. Nobody born post-1965 can live without its Famished Tableware, April Vase, Windfall Hanging Vase or Cubist Garland. These successes shaped everyday style in the 90s and 2000s. If you like short stories, the April Vase can be summed up in a few words: designed by Sigolène Prébois and Catherine Lévy in 1991, the distinct April Vase comprises 21 tubes and is inspired by Japanese ikebana. Its shape is adaptable and enables each flower to be isolated and therefore glorified. The metallic rings slot together providing infinite flexibility for composing your arrangement. You can add or take away segments. It was an immediate success in France, the United States and Japan before joining the permanent collection of the Centre Pompidou in 1997. The April Vase remains one of the era’s most enduring icons.
