On the occasion of the parisian launch of the collection of Haute Bijouterie designed by Pierre Hardy for Hermès, Didier Fiuza Faustino is invited to conceive the staging of these uniques pieces and to create the « Continuum ». until octobre 8th at Hermès 24 rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré Paris (8ème). Didier Faustino and his Cosmogony installation. The cosmogony is the science of the creation of celestial objects and in the same time the part of the mythologies that tell the birth of the world and men. For his collaboration with Hermès and Pierre Hardy, Didier Fiuza Faustino chose to seize the theme of the new collection of « Haute Bijouterie » that was focused on the expression of time, to design the interior of the Boutique Hermès, with a futuristic atmosphere. With almost twelve boxes that contain the jewels laid out in a perfect circle, Faustino introduces a basic representation of the notion of time.

Then, with the choice of rough material such as crude iron and non-perfect 3D printings, the artist and architect introduces a visual counterpoint to the magnificence of the jewels. The opposition to the collection can be also observed with the light that comes from the heart of the sculpture. Indeed, we can feel that the installation is breathing by the variations of the intensity of light.

The delicacy of the new collection of Hermès Haute Bijouterie, by this collaboration, shows the poetry of his designer and in the same time, the audacious position of the house that gave a total carte blanche to Didier Fiuza Faustino.

« With the first lights, he understood that the will of modelling the inconsistent and vertiginous matter that had been offered to him, had led him to the contemplation of the nature that he had sublimated in the past. Therefore, he had no intention to touch it anymore: but then, his gesture was to observe it, sometimes to correct it, mentally. At that point, he was living with that, with the perspective of multiple distances and from different points of view. And one day to another he started looking at this illusory composition, as a mirage, with a steady gaze.

Indeed, the grey man, behind his pale eyes perceived, with some weakness, the sounds and forms of these minerals that have been, before, coloured in an incandescent shade but are now of the colour of the ashes. Betraying a certain failure of the flesh, the humidity of his breath was reflecting the coexistence of the worlds that interpolate themselves without ever touching. The man, who had once guided the imperial and dominant human presence through the stars, came with the clear conclusion that the space of his soul was exhausted. He began suddenly to desire a presence that deserves to participate, in turn, to the universe. »
